What we collect

When you create a netmorial or sign in, we collect your name and email address. When you add a tribute, candle or photo, we collect what you add, the name and location you give, and, the first time, an email address to confirm it’s you.

Like most websites, we also keep basic technical information, such as the date and time of a visit, to keep the service running and secure.

How we use it

We use this information to run netmorial: to show netmorials and what people add to them, to send sign-in and confirmation codes, and to keep the service safe. We don’t sell your personal information.

What others can see

Netmorials are public. Tributes, candles and photos, with the name and location given with them, can be seen by anyone who visits. Email addresses are never shown on netmorials.

Cookies

We use a few cookies needed for the service to work, such as keeping you signed in and remembering that you’ve confirmed your email. We don’t use advertising cookies.

Service providers

We use trusted providers to host the service, store data and send email. They handle information only to provide those services to us.

Your choices

You can ask us to correct or delete your information, or anything you’ve added, through the Contact page. The admin of a netmorial can also remove content from it.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we’ll change the date at the top of this page.
